I usually just cook fish on a panini press, but I guess that’s not ideal because I would not want to waste any more of the panini press. I would like to say that in the end, the best way to cook fish is to get a really good panini press. It’s a really good machine, it makes really good sardines, it cooks fish perfectly, and it’s cheap.
sardines are actually quite a good source of iron, which is the only thing they need to maintain iron status. Without that iron, the fish will start to get soggy and start to turn pinkish. Cooking it in small, controlled portions helps retain flavor, because the flavor will last longer when the fish is kept longer. If you overcook it, you are going to end up with something you dont want.
The only downside of the machine is that it is slow. But if you dont want to cook fish, that’s not that big of a deal.
